Food Deliveries

Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda and Morrisons all deliver here, and between them you can get pretty much everything you need brought to the door. Ocado does not deliver to Pateley Bridge yet, but with the four big supermarkets covering the area, that is rarely a problem.

Delivery slots are good for somewhere this rural. Most of the time there are next-day slots available, and it is almost always within two days, so a bit of light planning is all it takes to keep the cupboards stocked.

One thing worth doing every time: add a note in the delivery instructions when you order. Drivers are not always the same person, and a lot of houses around here go by names rather than numbers, which can make them tricky to find. A quick note - a landmark, which turning to take, or where to leave the bags - means your shop arrives without any fuss and a lot quicker.

It is a different story for takeaways. No takeaway or hot-food delivery services reach Pateley Bridge, so if you fancy something quick, or a naughty craving strikes of an evening, the trick is to have a bit of cheeky food already in.
